Aftercare

Address Soreness

It's normal to experience some level of soreness after your session. To manage discomfort, you can apply a topical pain-relief solution like Biofreeze or Tiger Balm to the affected area. These products can provide soothing relief. Additionally, icing the area for short intervals can help manage any initial discomfort.

Manage Bruising

In some cases, you might notice minor bruising after treatment. Applying ice to the bruised area can help reduce any swelling and discomfort. The cold temperature can constrict blood vessels and minimize bruise discoloration.

Stay Hydrated

Proper hydration is crucial for supporting your body's natural healing processes. After your treatment, aim to increase your daily water intake for the next day or two. Staying well-hydrated helps optimize circulation and aids in flushing out toxins.

Stretch and Exercise

The exercises and stretches provided during your session are essential for your recovery. To maximize the benefits, aim to complete them twice daily. These movements are tailored to your needs and contribute to improved flexibility, strength, and stability.

Remember, your journey to wellness is a partnership. By incorporating these aftercare practices into your routine, you're actively contributing to your own healing process. If you have any questions or concerns about your post-treatment care, don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to support you every step of the way.

FAQs

  • What to Expect

During your visit, you can anticipate a comprehensive evaluation of your condition and goals. We'll collaborate on a personalized treatment plan that may include targeted therapies and exercises. Our commitment is to guide you toward better movement, strength, and overall well-being. Your journey to wellness is our priority.

  • How is what you provide different than massage, physical therapy, or traditional chiropractic?

Unlike traditional chiropractic approaches that may focus solely on spinal alignment or nerve impingements, at Chē Chiropractic, we take a holistic approach. Our focus extends beyond individual bones or nerves. We emphasize the body's movement as a whole, utilizing deep tissue techniques and tailored exercises to enhance stability and confidence in your movement.

  • Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance. Our focus is on providing care tailored to your needs, not dictated by insurance protocols. After a thorough examination, we'll determine a treatment plan that best suits your care and budget. We do, however, accept most Debit, Credit, HSA, and FSA cards for your convenience.

  • How often will the doctor want to see me, and what does a typical treatment plan look like?

Each treatment plan is unique to your specific case. For most injuries, our goal is to achieve results within 4 to 9 visits. Once your goals are met, some patients transition to a "maintenance plan," scheduling visits once or twice a month, based on their daily activity levels.

  • I recently had a major surgery / I was recently recomended for a surgery– how do I know if I’m still a good candidate for treatment? What type of injuries can you treat?

At Chē Chiropractic, we address a wide range of injuries, from longstanding chronic issues to recent injuries. While we don't handle personal injury (P.I.) cases or major car accidents, our thorough history-taking and examination of the affected area help rule out major surgical or medical concerns. Our approach guides us toward the right path for treatment or referral to the appropriate medical professional.
